29,000 BOMBS

In attacking Gaza indiscriminately, “Israel” has dropped 29,000 bombs in the last two months. An assessment compiled by Office of the Director of (U.S.) National Intelligence reveals that around half of the bombs that “Israel” has used since October 7th have been unguided. This means that they lack the precision to avoid civilian casualties, especially in a densely populated area like Gaza. This is NOT precision bombing. This is a deliberate genocidal campaign against Palestinian civilians, and falls under the term "collective punishment" as prohibited by international law. “Israel” continues to directly violate the Geneva Convention, and due to your unwavering support, as do you. With a population of around 2.3 million people, the Gaza Strip is the mostly densely populated region in the entire world. Most Gazan residents, around 77%, are refugees. These are people who have been violently forced out of their homes, and/or were born from people directly impacted by this horrific violence. Current conditions in Occupied Palestine are being described as hellish. 60% of buildings in Gaza have been destroyed, according to a UN estimate. Babies in the NICU have died because their incubators can’t operate without power, and “Israel” has not only taken healthcare workers hostage but completely besieged Gaza. The UN reports that 85% of Gazans have been displaced and are now facing starvation. This is genocide. International law exists to protect people’s humanity. When “countries” like “Israel” don’t follow it, you are obligated to punish them for it. The Leahy law exists to prohibit you from supporting governments which have engaged in gross violations of human rights. I can’t believe this needs to be said, but you MUST adhere to your own laws. If you wish to continue your political career, you will support Palestinian liberation. The first step will be to force “Israel” into a permanent ceasefire by cutting off all ties. If you refuse to accept the necessity of this next step, you will NEVER be re-elected. Two-thirds of Americans support a ceasefire, even across party lines, and yet, you disavow your people’s will. If you do not change course, then: when you lose your career because you refused to do your job, you can’t say I didn’t warn you.
