No to Eminent Domain for CO2 pipelines!

NO to eminent domain for CO2 pipelines!! Congressional Republicans are attempting to sneak a federal eminent domain land grab for pipelines. The House Energy and Commerce Committee has included language in their spending bill to let CO2 pipeline operators pay $10 million for fast-tracked federal permits, overriding local moratoriums and eminent domain protections along the way. It would expressly overrule all state pipeline laws, such as routing laws, moratoriums, bans on eminent domain, as well as county pipeline ordinances. This will override HB 1052 that so many of us worked so hard to pass! Plus, they want to leave 45Q tax subsidies for carbon capture untouched. None of us want this!!
