Vote NO on the Recessions package!

I heard that Trump is sending a rescissions package to Congress this week that contains about $9Billion in cuts, mostly to foreign aid, NPR and Public Broadcasting. I oppose all of these cuts! When I lived in a small rural town, NPR was the only radio station I could consistently get. The only time I had to catch up on news was during my drives so it was a lifeline to the rest of the world when I was swamped in work and just getting by. I want to focus on the cuts to USAID too. They have been absolutely catastrophic and I don’t want to see them codified. Pro Publica reported this week that the cuts have led to violence and instability while undermining anti-terrorism initiatives. Boston University estimates that because of them nearly 300,000 people have died to date. This is unacceptable. It’s terrible for our national security, for our global standing, and for humanity. These funds must be restored, not cut. Thanks.
