I am writing to you again!
THIS castigation of nature can't be allowed to happen!
The planned expansion of logging across 280 million acres of national forests and public
lands is deeply concerning. Allowing chainsaws to raze some of America's most ecologically
important and oldest trees would be devastating for endangered species, wildfire risks, water
quality, outdoor recreation areas, and our efforts to address climate change. This executive order falsely claims more logging will curb wildfires and protect communities, when overwhelming evidence shows the opposite is true. Aggressive logging actually increases
fire risks by altering the microclimate and creating hotter, drier conditions that help fires spread rapidly. Furthermore, clearcutting beautiful forests threatens to drive species like
grizzly bears, spotted owls, and wild salmon to extinction while polluting vital water supplies. Protection of old-growth forests is crucial, as these ancient trees are carbon-sinks playing a key role in mitigating climate change impacts. Prioritizing timber industry profits over conservation jeopardizes our environmental heritage and future. I urge you to reconsider this
destructive policy that circumvents critical environmental safeguards like the Endangered Species Act. Preserving America's precious national forests should be a top priority for
current and future generations.
This 280 million acres of national forests and public lands is nearly three times the size of California.
This Is Not Good Stewardship Of The Earth And Will Leave The Future Earth Burning.
