Who Will Tell Trump the Truth? Listen to the People Before We Lose Everything

I write to you today out of deep concern for the state of our party and the future of our nation. President Trump recently posted on Truth Social
“Paid ‘troublemakers’ are attending Republican Town Hall Meetings. It is all part of the game for the Democrats, but just like our big LANDSLIDE ELECTION, it’s not going to work for them!”
This is not just misleading—it’s dangerous.
The numbers speak for themselves. Trump received 77,302,580 votes (49.8%), while Harris received 75,017,613 votes (48.3%). He did not even secure 50% of the vote, nor did he win 30% of registered voters. This was no landslide. If anything, it was a warning: the party is fractured, and the American people—Republicans included—are demanding accountability.
Republicans are showing up at town halls, not because they are “paid troublemakers,” but because they are angry. We are tired of being ignored. We are holding our elected officials accountable. Trump’s refusal to acknowledge the real concerns of the people—brushing off criticism as some Democratic scheme—will only accelerate the shift of voters toward the Democratic Party in 2026 and beyond.
The approval ratings make it clear. Trump’s own approval sits in the 30-40% range, while Congress’ approval has dropped below 30%. The message is obvious: Americans, including conservatives, are frustrated. If Republican leadership continues dismissing these concerns, we will lose independent voters, moderates, and even lifelong conservatives who are fed up with being gaslit by their own party.
Congress must start listening. Pretending everything is fine while ignoring the unrest among Republican voters will have consequences. If leadership does not recognize the frustration within its own base, the next election will not just be a loss—it will be a reckoning.
