It is time to go back to work.
While YOU stay home, the federal government remains shut down, and regular Americans — the ones you are actually supposed to serve — are forced to pay the price.
Federal employees are sitting at home without paychecks. SNAP benefits are stalled — feeding families shouldn’t be treated like a “luxury.” Healthcare costs continue to skyrocket, and NOBODY in the Senate or House seems to care enough to do their job and fix it. Programs that Congress already approved and already funded are sitting frozen because YOU — the same Congress that claims to “love America” — has decided it’s more convenient to not show up.
Let’s cut the nonsense:
If there is money to unnecessarily remodel White House bathrooms…
If there is money to give billions to Argentina…
If there is money for weekly golf outings…
If there is money for extravagant Great Gatsby-style parties…
THEN THERE IS MONEY TO RE-OPEN THE GOVERNMENT AND DO YOUR JOB FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
Do not tell Americans there is “no funding.”
There is plenty of funding when it’s politically useful, self-indulgent, or flashy.
We demand — not politely request — demand that you:
1. Reopen the government immediately
2. Put government employees back to work — WITH PAY
3. Fund and restore SNAP — NOW
4. Pass legislation that makes healthcare affordable and accessible to ALL citizens
5. STOP treating governing like an afterthought or an optional hobby
The American people are exhausted, fed up, and out of patience.
We deserve a functioning government — not a political theater troupe.
Get back to Washington.
Sit back down in your chairs.
Pass budgets.
Fund the programs you already approved.
Put the federal workforce back on the job.
That is literally what you were elected to do.
