Oppose the Methamphetamine Response Act. It is just a continuation of the the war on drugs. The war on drugs has only ever been effective for applying racism. It harms our communities and doesn't address the problems. Criminalizing drugs means they get stronger and more dangerous. Users become more vulnerable to abuse as they cannot go to law enforcement and treatment becomes harder to access. People are forced to use in more secretive and dangerous fashions. Drug use has been part of humanity from the very beginning. Stop criminalizing human nature and instead minimize harm. If you want to combat drug epidemics stop criminalizing and start providing harm reduction. I don't mean legalize, decriminalize. Legalization just locks in place the harm and racism of the war on drugs. End the war on drugs and shift all that funding to harm reduction. Stop using addiction as an excuse for funding white supremacy.
