Keep ICE and military troops away from the polls NOW!

Democratic Senators have introduced two pieces of legislation that double down on prohibiting armed military and federal agents from terrorizing polling places: the Protect Our Polls Act and the Safe Access to the Polls Act.5,6 "President Trump is pulling every lever he has to weaponize the federal government and undermine our elections — and that includes him threatening to send armed federal agents to our polling places," said Senator Tammy Baldwin, sponsor of the Safe Access to the Polls Act.7 Trump fired independent election monitors, installed election deniers in key administration positions, threatened criminal charges against states who don't follow his anti-democratic election orders, and launched an all-out attack on mail voting — moves that present direct threats to voting on November 3rd.8,9 Under Trump and Stephen Miller's mass deportations policy, ICE continues spreading violence and fear through our communities. These far-right security forces don't belong at polling places. Congress must urgently call for an end to Trump’s strongman voter suppression.
