Hospitals Set On Fire and Frozen Babies! Stop Arming and Supporting Genocide

The Israeli military has systematically destroyed every single hospital in Northern Gaza, committing a heinous war crime of willful killing and inhumane treatment. This is a blatant disregard for human life and dignity. The Israeli military invaded Kamal Adwan Hospital, the sole functioning hospital in northern Gaza, forcing staff and patients to endure a perilous journey on foot towards southern Gaza. Tragically, Gaza’s Health Ministry lost contact with the hospital as a massive fire engulfed several departments. Earlier, an Israeli airstrike near the hospital claimed the lives of at least 50 individuals, including five dedicated medical workers. It is utterly unacceptable that they set fire to Kamal Adwan Hospital! To add insult to injury, the Medical Director, Housam Abu Safia, was unjustly detained simply because he refused to abandon his patients without medical care. This act of defiance is not only reprehensible but also a clear sign of insanity. On top of this horrific crime, three innocent babies have tragically succumbed to the freezing temperatures in refugee camps. The relentless bombing and air strikes continue, leaving countless lives in jeopardy. It is beyond comprehension why this senseless violence could not be prevented. However, it is evident that Israel, and unfortunately, my own government, holds no regard for the lives of Palestinians. As outlined in the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and the Geneva Conventions, war crimes encompass a range of acts, including willful killing, torture or inhumane treatment, biological experiments, causing great suffering or serious injury to the body or health, extensive destruction and appropriation of property not justified by military necessity, and unlawfully and wantonly carried out. Israel’s actions clearly fall within these definitions, and yet, the United States continues to support this genocidal regime. This begs the question: where is your humanity? I implore you to take action and do the right thing. Cease your support for Israel immediately—stop funding their genocide. Instead, channel your compassion towards the suffering citizens of the United States, who are grappling with inadequate healthcare, homelessness, poverty, and excessive debt. Shame on you for supporting a maniacal genocidal government and military while turning your back on the people of this country. Demand an immediate ceasefire and a complete withdrawal of military forces from Gaza. No more arms to Israel. Sanction Israel. Demand the immediate opening of a medical corridor and ensure that the humanitarian aid you’ve ensured will reach the people of Gaza. Help rebuild the destruction caused by the US. Rebuild your humanity, because it seems to have been lost!
