An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Austin Airport ATC Shortage Threatens Safety in TX

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Austin’s airport is operating with less than half the air traffic controllers it needs—just 29 certified controllers instead of the recommended 60. This has led to multiple near-misses and major delays, putting travelers and staff at risk. The FAA has acknowledged the shortage, but hiring and training aren’t happening fast enough. This is a public safety issue that needs urgent attention. I’m asking you to push for immediate funding and faster hiring to fix the staffing crisis at Austin–Bergstrom. Lives are at stake, and delays alone are already affecting thousands of Texans.
