Trump’s Territorial Fantasies Must End - Stand for America

President Trump’s renewed calls to acquire Greenland and take control of the Panama Canal are reckless and damaging to our global standing. Greenland’s leadership has firmly rejected any sale, reaffirming their sovereignty (Associated Press, March 2025). Likewise, Panama has managed the canal independently since 1999, and any attempt to seize control would violate long-standing international agreements (PBS, March 2025). These proposals undermine U.S. credibility, alienate allies, and distract from urgent domestic challenges. At a time when Americans face real crises—rising costs, infrastructure needs, and national security concerns—our government should focus on policies that improve lives, not on imperialistic fantasies. These ideas are an embarrassment and a waste of time. I urge you to publicly reject these proposals and focus on addressing real priorities that serve the American people.
