Support human rights: Cosponsor resolutions blocking offensive arms sales

26 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

The Israeli government's repeated violations of international humanitarian law and disregard for civilian lives are deeply concerning. By approving over $20 billion in arms sales, including offensive weapons used in strikes that have killed thousands of civilians, the United States risks enabling further human rights abuses and undermining its own laws and policies on arms transfers. We urge you to uphold human rights principles and show that the United States stands for the protection of civilians by cosponsoring and voting in favor of the joint resolutions of disapproval. These resolutions would block the sale of munitions like JDAMs and tank shells that have been used indiscriminately in Gaza, putting aid workers, journalists, and innocent lives at grave risk. While the resolutions do not impact defensive systems, they send a clear message that the Israeli government's actions are unacceptable and that such offensive weapons transfers must cease until real accountability and a permanent ceasefire are achieved. The United States has a moral obligation to use its leverage to prevent further civilian suffering in this conflict, in accordance with international law.
