An open letter to Mayors

Governor

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

The deployment of the National Guard against peaceful protesters exercising their constitutional rights raises serious concerns about the erosion of civil liberties and the militarization of law enforcement's response to dissent. This heavy-handed tactic threatens to escalate tensions rather than facilitate constructive dialogue and fails to address the underlying issues driving the protests. A measured approach focused on de-escalation and protecting the rights of citizens to assemble and voice their grievances is imperative to upholding democratic principles. We urge rescinding orders to mobilize the National Guard against nonviolent demonstrations and instead engaging in meaningful reforms to address systemic injustices.
