From the Silver State’s role in shaping the nation’s labor movement to our long-standing commitment to individual rights, we have always fought to protect our people from exploitation and outside forces looking to control our destiny. But right now, that independence is under attack—not just from Washington, but from billionaires who believe they can buy influence, rewrite laws, and strip away protections for working Nevadans. We are watching the systematic dismantling of the Constitution and the very principles of American democracy—including press freedom and access to factual information. Musk’s intimidation tactics and Trump’s lawsuits against the press create an environment of censorship through fear. Meanwhile, legacy media outlets are being bought, threatened, and coerced into silence. We need a daily, reliable, and unified voice to counter this onslaught of propaganda and political manipulation. That is why I urge you to push for Pete Buttigieg to serve as the Resistance Press Secretary. This is not about partisan politics—this is about ensuring the American people, and particularly Nevadans, have access to fair, honest, and verified information. If good Republicans—those who still respect the rule of law and the Constitution—stand against Musk’s abuses, they can help restore trust in the First Amendment and the fundamental principle of a free press.
