Please take a look at pictures and watch video from today’s March for Our Lives demonstrations. Listen carefully to those folks who have survived gun violence. Listen to the parents who have lost children, the most precious things in their lives. Listen to the kids who want to grow, learn, and live in societies free from the terror of gun violence. You have the power to make lasting, transformative change in this country. Change that will serve generations of Americans. Please pass common sense gun reform now, but push further. We need a strict assault weapons ban, too. These types of big ideas and radical change are exactly what we need to move beyond the gun violence epidemic in this country. You can do it. Nothing is more important than protecting our children and fellow citizens.
