For minors, parental consent is legally required for gender-affirming medical treatments like puberty blockers, hormones and surgery according to guidelines from major health organizations. Some schools facilitate social transitions like using new names and pronouns without always notifying parents, though this does not involve any medical interventions. Respecting the identities and wellbeing of trans kids should take precedence over pushing divisive agendas based on misinformation that stigmatizes a vulnerable group. All children deserve to feel safe and accepted, and receive appropriate medical care when needed with proper parental oversight.
