Support & co-sponsor H.R.4756- provide tax incentives that support local media

I'm contacting you regarding H.R.4756 —To provide tax incentives that support local media. It is sponsored by Representative Claudia Tenney (R) and co-sponsored by Representative Suzan K. DelBene (D). This bipartisan legislation introduced recently is designed to help local journalism thrive and flourish.   The promotion of local journalism is crucial to provide a community awareness of local topics and issues, as well as initiate civic engagement. A tax credit for 'household news subscriptions' is not included at this time in H.R. 4756.  I'd like to have an amendment proposed to include this as I would be very eager to use the tax credit to subscribe to more local journalism outlets. I would think that it could be implemented much like the educator expense tax deduction (an "above-the-line" deduction that's applied before you decide whether to take the standard deduction or itemize your deductions). I think this is a great step in the right direction to preserve and promote local journalism.  I urge you to support and co-sponsor this bill.  I'd also like you to propose an amendment for a tax credit for household news subscriptions (as mentioned above).
