An open letter to the U.S. Senate (Conn. only)

Your Protest Didn’t Go Unnoticed—Thank You

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for your decision to protest President Trump’s address to Congress on March 4, 2025. Choosing not to attend and instead participating in MoveOn’s livestream panel wasn’t just a statement—it was a refusal to normalize what shouldn’t be normal. Your words during the panel, especially about resisting a billionaire takeover and the destruction of democracy, struck a chord. A lot of us are tired of watching people in power act like these things are just political differences when, in reality, they are existential threats. By refusing to be complicit, you sent a clear message: silence is not an option. As one of your constituents, I appreciate having a representative who doesn’t just talk about standing up for democratic values but actually does it. Your leadership matters, and it makes a difference. Thank you for standing your ground and for making it clear where you stand. I look forward to seeing more of that same conviction in the fights ahead.
