I want to thank you for your support of legislative changes that bring us closer to peace in Palestine.
Right now, I am ending the year with heavy grief at the recent news coming from Kamal Adwan hospital. The United States is one of the only countries opposing sanctions for Israel and naming this genocide for what it is so that we can hold Israel accountable for their crimes against humanity. As we watch hospital patients and healthcare providers being stripped and marched through cold streets lined with rubble, how can we call this crisis anything but a genocide? How can our country continue to remain on the side of violence and such grave harm?
I am writing today to ask for both your guidance and your leadership. What else can we do to end this genocide? How will you help us raise our voices to make clear that we don’t want our tax dollars to fund ethnic cleansing?
We have written our letters and signed the petitions. Now we need you to take our action further. I look forward to your reply with suggestions on how we can work together to end the genocide in Gaza.
