An open letter to State Governors

Governor: Immigration EO Violates State Authority, Endangers Safety/Trust

27 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

I’m writing to urge you to stand against President Trump’s executive order directing local law enforcement to enforce federal immigration laws. This mandate threatens state authority, undermines community trust, and forces local agencies to divert resources from real public safety priorities. • The Tenth Amendment protects states from being forced to carry out federal directives. • Courts have already ruled that withholding funding from sanctuary cities is unconstitutional. • Local law enforcement leaders have warned this will harm public safety by deterring crime reporting and cooperation. This order puts our state’s constitutional rights and public safety at risk. I urge you to publicly reject it and protect our communities from federal overreach.
