Condemn Trump/Vance, Reinstate Fed Govt Oversight, Be Fair to Ukraine

I’m writing because I’m outraged by what happened between Trump and President Zelenskyy in the Oval Office. Instead of standing by one of our strongest allies, Trump and J.D. Vance attacked Zelenskyy, blaming Ukraine for the war and repeating Russian propaganda. Ukraine didn’t ask for this war—Russia invaded, bombed cities, and murdered innocent people. Yet Trump treated Zelenskyy, a democratically elected leader fighting to protect his country, with more hostility than he ever has toward Putin. This is not only wrong, it’s dangerous. If the U.S. starts siding with dictators over democratic allies, we lose the very values that make us strong. ([The Atlantic, Feb 2025]) On top of this, Trump has been gutting government oversight by firing inspectors general and ethics officials—people whose job is to prevent corruption and hold leaders accountable. By removing them, he’s making sure no one can investigate his actions or challenge his authority. This is exactly the kind of power grab our country was built to prevent. Without proper oversight, corruption runs unchecked, and leaders can act without consequences. ([PBS, Feb 2025]) I’m asking you to take immediate action. Rehire the inspectors general and oversight officials who keep our government honest. Speak out against Trump’s treatment of Zelenskyy and demand that the U.S. stand firmly with Ukraine. Ignoring this means letting a corrupt, pro-Russia agenda take hold in our country. That’s unacceptable. We need leaders who will stand up for what’s right.
