Oppose Jan 6 Defender Ed Martin as US Attorney for D.C.

I am writing to urge you to oppose the nomination of Ed Martin as the U.S. Attorney for D.C. His lack of qualifications and partisan behavior defending the January 6th insurrection put the integrity of the American justice system at risk. Martin’s confirmation would further the Trump administration’s elimination of legal checks and balances. His attempts to persecute and silence political opponents would prove dangerous to anyone who challenges the work of the Trump administration. It is critical that the Senate reject Martin’s nomination and his attempts to bring partisan politics into the American justice system.
