Dismantle ICE: Support the Reimagining Safety Act Instead

I urge you to Co-sponsor and vote yes on the Reimagining Safety Act. People have had enough of ICE and our communities are suffering and are less safe. This bill would replace ICE and DHS with a new department, with a wholly different approach, with these major actions: Establish the Department of Community Safety Dismantle DHS, preserving CISA, FEMA, TSA, and Customs functions  Abolish ICE and CBP Reinvest funds in our communities Limit government surveillance, rein in unlawful abuses of data, and curb militarized enforcement Begin the process of establishing a separate civil immigration system Our current approach to community safety is failing — cycling the same people through systems that punish rather than protect, while leaving the root causes of harm completely unaddressed. This bill is a chance to actually change that. Real safety means mental health responders showing up to mental health crises, not armed officers. It means investing in housing, jobs, and community resources that prevent harm before it happens. The Reimagining Safety Act moves money and responsibility toward those proven solutions, and every community needs you to stand behind it, and think beyond the current DHS protocols. Thank you.
