Demand Immediate Action for 15yo American Citizen Illegally Detained by Israel

I am writing in outrage over the illegal detention and inhumane treatment of Mohammed Ibrahim, a 15-year-old American citizen from Palm Bay, Florida, who has been held by Israel’s military since February 2025. Israeli forces abducted Mohammed from his family’s home near Ramallah. He was blindfolded, denied access to due process, and has endured months of abusive detention. He has lost more than 20% of his body weight, contracted scabies due to neglect, and has been denied all contact with his family. If that weren’t horrific enough, in July, his cousin—20-year-old U.S. citizen Saifullah Kamel Musallet—was beaten to death by Israeli settlers. There has been no justice, no accountability, and no meaningful response from the U.S. government. Even former Arkansas Governor and U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee—not known for criticizing Israel—stated that Mohammed “should never have been arrested.” Yet, months later, this American child remains in an Israeli prison. Let me be clear: this cannot stand. The U.S. State Department must act immediately. We demand the following: • Immediate and unconditional release of Mohammed Ibrahim • A full investigation and accountability for the murder of Saifullah Musallet • A formal inquiry into Israel’s violations of Mohammed’s rights as a U.S. citizen and a child There is no excuse for the U.S. government to stand by while one American child is tortured and another is murdered. Equal protection under the law must not depend on ethnicity, religion, or the political expediency of our foreign alliances. You represent me. So let me be absolutely clear: if you choose silence over action, you are complicit. I urge you to make a public statement and demand the State Department intervene to bring Mohammed Ibrahim home now.
