For instance, President Trump stated, “Elon is going to streamline our government like he did with his companies.” Elon Musk himself has made remarks suggesting his active involvement, stating, “I am committed to eliminating wasteful practices in federal agencies.” However, an affidavit filed in federal court on February 17, 2025, by Joshua Fisher, Director of the White House Office of Administration, asserts that “Mr. Musk is not the U.S. DOGE Service Administrator” and “has no actual or formal authority to make government decisions himself.” Given these contradictory statements, I respectfully request clarification on the following points: 1. Who is the official administrator of DOGE? 2. What is Elon Musk’s precise role and scope of authority within DOGE? 3. How does the administration reconcile the President’s public statements with the recent affidavit filed in court?
