Today Steve Bannon, former senior advisor to President Trump, said that the federal government is planning to send ICE officers to patrol polling stations during this year’s midterm elections.
“We’re going to have ICE surround the polls come November,” Bannon said on Tuesday’s episode of his War Room podcast.
Addressing Democrats, he continued, “We’re not going to sit here and allow you to steal the country again. And you can whine and cry and throw your toys out of the pram all you want, but we will never again allow an election to be stolen.”
I understand political rabble-rousing. That’s to be expected these days.
But how does he get by with definitively saying the federal government is planning on election interference?
Is this true? Do you know if it’s true? Are there plans for ICE to show up in blue cities to intimidate American citizens as they exercise their right to vote under our Constitution?
Does it even bother you that an on-air troll is speaking for our government? And saying “WE”?
But the bigger question to you is…does he speak for the Trump administration?
