An open letter to the U.S. House of Representatives

Don’t Cut Medicaid!

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

As a constituent, I am writing to demand that you vote no on the House’s budget travesty. Cutting Medicaid, CHIP, Social security, and other programs that benefit the sick, the elderly, the poor, and children in order to provide tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires is a sin. The rich do not need more tax cuts, but the vulnerable in our country desperately need assistance, and it is the role and responsibility of government to care for them. These unnecessary tax cuts also will add monstrously to the deficit, and I am old enough to remember when Republicans claimed to care about that. Hypocrisy is a bad look. Vote NO on this offensive spending bill. The rich will be fine. It’s everyone else you need to be working to help.
