Please Explain - How did we “accidentally” invade Mexico today?

I am writing today out of profound concern and disbelief regarding the reported incident in which U.S. forces, under the leadership of Secretary Pete Hegseth, “accidentally” crossed into Mexican territory due to a failure to follow basic navigational coordinates.
If this account is accurate, it represents not only a reckless breach of international boundaries but an alarming lapse in competence at the highest levels of our national security leadership. The American people deserve to know how, in 2025—with advanced satellite systems, GPS precision, and entire departments dedicated to operational oversight—our military could “accidentally” invade a sovereign nation.
This is not a trivial mistake. This is an international incident.
I demand that you immediately investigate the following:
1. How such a fundamental procedural failure occurred.
A wrong turn on a battlefield is not acceptable. Our military follows strict command structures, map protocols, and verification procedures. Were these ignored?
2. What role Secretary Hegseth played in authorizing, approving, or failing to supervise this operation.
If leadership negligence contributed to this violation, the public must know.
3. What diplomatic damage this error has caused.
Mexico is our neighbor and critical economic partner. An unauthorized military incursion—no matter the claimed intent—has consequences.
4. What measures are being implemented immediately to ensure such an incident can never occur again.
This nation cannot tolerate excuses masquerading as explanations. The American public expects responsibility, professionalism, and competence from those entrusted with national defense. If our leadership cannot execute basic operational oversight, then Congress must step in—decisively.
I expect a prompt and transparent response. The American people deserve nothing less.
