Yes on SB59 - Protect our Privacy

The California Legislature needs to pass the Transgender Privacy Act (SB 59) as an urgent response to Donald Trump’s aggressive anti-trans agenda. Under Trump’s policies, transgender and nonbinary people face unprecedented attacks, including:          - Losing access to accurate federal identity documents, exposing them to harassment, discrimination, and life-threatening violence.          - Being forced into unsafe housing conditions in federal prisons.          - Losing access to gender-affirming care in federal facilities. California has a proud history of leading the fight for equality. Now, more than ever, the state must stand up for transgender and nonbinary people against Trump’s hateful agenda. Passing SB 59 is a critical step to protect their rights, dignity, and safety.
