The military strength of Israel, supported by $3.8 billion in annual aid from the United States, is significant. With 169,500 active military personnel, 465,000 reserve forces, and advanced weaponry, Israel's military capacity is formidable. However, this power should be used responsibly. The $23.4 billion military expenditure, which accounts for 4.5% of Israel's GDP, could be redirected towards peaceful initiatives. It is crucial to reconsider the conditions of the aid provided, especially since no Israeli unit has been penalized under the Leahy Law. Therefore, it is requested that diplomatic pressure be applied to encourage Israel to commit to a ceasefire and redirect its resources towards fostering peace and stability. This approach would be a more responsible use of the significant aid provided by the United States.
