Send me some place tropical

Day after day, this drama continues. Today, I watched ICE wrestle an American citizen to the ground. They took him into custody. I somehow, in my DNA, got the dark Caucasian coloring. My ancestors came on the Mayflower, and my father always said we had native Americans in our family. Maybe that is why I am darker. I was born in New Jersery, to American parents, and grands. Like I said, 10 or more generations of Americans. People who served in the Revolutionary War, Civil War, and both World Wars. All this to say that I fear daily, because I might look hispanic, or asian to ICE. I carry my passport with me. Even going to the bus stop to collect my grandchold off the school bus. This is what you are doing to the citizens of our country. People are in fear of being "detained," asked for their papers, and being transported to concentration camps. Sounds like Nazi Germany. Some of you reply to my letters, with comments that are not reasuring. You are not addressing my concerns. Saying you are listening. But your actions demonstrate that you are not listening. You do not seem to care about the people . The people of America took action in each of those wars to create and protect a democracy. Which all of you have been destroying. You are destroying everything we were raised believing. You have replaced transparency with total lies. Claiming Christian beliefs when you must not read the bible. Jesus said to take care of others, not destroy them. You have put people in leadership who are not only unqualified. They also have broken the commandments of the bible. So when you come to get me, because I am brown, or because I exercised my freedom of speech, don't deport me to New Jersey. Send me some place tropical, because I don't like snow.
