Happy Halloween. Seems an appropriate day to review the treats in store for America if your guy wins on November 5.
Man-of-the-people Elon Musk slated to be the government’s “chief efficiency officer.” “Everyone’s going to have to take a haircut.… We can’t be a wastrel.… We need to live honestly.”
Says the billionaire. I bet his haircut won’t be like the rest of ours.
Since he wants to cut 2 TRILLION from the budget, I guess living honestly will include us common folk who rely on Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and the like to stock up on cat food. (Or maybe just cats?) Because that’s what we’ll be eating. If we’re lucky.
I guess killing the booming US economy is just the medicine we’ll have to take. For our own good.
I’m assuming Musk’s SpaceX aerospace venture that has received $19 billion from the U.S. government since 2008 will be on the chopping block as well?
Then we have RFK the potential head of all of our health agencies. The Onion couldn’t come up with a better scenario to make one laugh out loud. But it’s not funny. It’s malpractice of the highest order to even contemplate such a possibility.
Then we hear Mike Johnson smugly promise us that when Republicans rule the country Obamacare will once and for all be gone. Done and done.
And don’t forget the mass deportation of anyone deemed illegally in the country, perhaps regardless of reality, that will be put in place on day one.
But the icing on the cake that is driving womenfolk to the polls like our lives depend on it, are reports that are slowly, too slowly, coming out about women dying because they have been denied medical care for pregnancies gone wrong. Texas included. Texas, where infant mortality is also astoundingly high, because women are being forced to carry babies that are either dead, or will be shortly after birth. Because there is no other option available to them.
Senator Cruz, remember when you said pregnancy is not a life-threatening illness? It can be. It often is. And your party is responsible for all the suffering caused as a result of enabling the man who made it all happen by overturning Roe.
Lastly, the award for best Halloween costume goes to your travesty of a candidate…DJT dressed up as a garbage man.
