Voting with Conscience: Why I’m Choosing Peace Over Genocide This November 5th
40 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!
I am writing to express my deep concern and disapproval of the ongoing U.S. support for Israel's violent actions against the Palestinian people and the broader Arab communities in the Middle East. As we approach November 5th, please know that I will not be voting for candidates who support or enable genocide. My vote will be reserved for pro-peace candidates, and I am not alone in this—many people of conscience are prepared to hold leaders accountable at the ballot box.
While our government continues to funnel billions of taxpayer dollars into perpetuating violence abroad, serious problems at home remain ignored. Under the current Biden-Harris Administration, Americans are still facing the burden of a housing crisis, inadequate healthcare, and worsening economic inequality. Instead of investing in our communities—improving our infrastructure, expanding access to education, and providing support for struggling families—our tax dollars are being used to sustain endless conflict around the world, benefiting the elite who profit from war and human suffering.
I am also deeply troubled by the influence of foreign players in our elections, particularly the outsized role of groups like AIPAC. This interference results in clouded judgment among our leaders and unbending, unchecked support for Israel, regardless of the human cost. Political Action Committees (PACs) that prioritize the interests of foreign countries over those of the American people must be banned. Furthermore, politicians who hold dual citizenship while in office should not be allowed to continue serving. Our elected officials must have undivided loyalty to the United States and act in the best interests of their constituents.
Our country deserves leaders who place the well-being of Americans first and who are willing to advocate for peace and justice. I am committed to voting for candidates who reject the corrupting influence of foreign lobbies, advocate for human rights, and ensure our taxpayer funds are used to enrich and uplift our communities here at home.
Thank you for considering my position. Please act with courage and moral clarity to support peace, uphold democracy, and ensure our nation’s policies reflect genuine American values.
