SAVE MEDICAID!!!! Please fight as hard as you can to save Medicaid for disabled. Americans, like our disabled 16 year old daughter with CP. she relies on Medi-Cal for her Durable Medical Equipment and Therapies, as well as her access to programs and therapies at school. These are all funded through Medi-Cal and are VITAL to her continued success. urgeries in her lifetime. Because of this help and therapies, She has far surpassed what doctors thought she'd be able to do. She can ride a horse, she can run using her gait tra iner at the Special Olympics, and she participates in Dance class at her school. She is a very happy girl, and also medically complex, she's had over 8 s Because she requires full time care, meal prep, toileting, dressing, showering, hygiene, transportation, transfers from wheelchair to walker, ambulating, communication and more...she requires a trained adult with her at all times. s to get paid while we provide vital care for her that she needs. As her parents we have been able to become IHSS live in providers to care for her. This provides our daughter with evening she needs and allowed one of u IHSS, Medi-Cal/Medicaid are what keeps many disabled people alive, and what allows them to thrive and live life to the fullest. PLEASE, we beg of you, fight for our daughter and others like her all around the nation. SAVE MEDICAID!!!!
