Your lack of foresight, intelligence, and sense of caring for Tennesseans is stunningly appalling. First you tried to sell us your discriminatory school voucher program. It went down in flames and likely cost TN taxpayers a bunch of money. Then you launched into a discriminatory agenda against TN members of the LGBTQ community with your bathroom laws. Those, too, are being shot down thanks to lawsuits filed by Tennesseans. More money down the drain, and another stain on TN’s reputation. You couldn’t move fast enough to pass the bogus “constitutional carry” law, in spite of objections from ALL TN law enforcement agencies and a large number of TN citizens. The Tennessean reports that this law will likely cost the state $20M a year in lost permit revenue and defending this law in the courts. You sent TN National Guard members to TX when our state has no dog in this hunt. In fact, if it weren’t for Latin American immigrants to TN we wouldn’t have a construction sector of our economy, or the ability to open endless hospitality based businesses. And, finally, you’ve fired the highest official dealing with Covid vaccinations in our losing battle against COVID-19. You yourself showed complete disregard for the pandemic when you attended a superspreader even at the Whitehouse to curry favor with Trump; yet another showing of your inability to recognize and deal with the endless stream of lies coming from the President. Governor, you should resign in shame and go back to the private sector. The negative impacts of your bad decisions will drive our state’s reputation for being backward even further into the consciousness of the country. You have clearly demonstrated that you don’t really care about the health and welfare of Tennesseans. Go back to the private sector where you belong.
