URGENT! TAKE ACTION TO ADDRESS ONGOING HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS IN GAZA!

I am writing to urge the Senator to support Senator Kaine’s bill (S. Res. 68), opposing any military deployment to Gaza. However, I also strongly encourage the Senator to take bolder steps to address the ongoing and severe human rights crisis facing Palestinians. Prime Minister Netanyahu has openly declared his commitment to Trump’s so-called “ethnic cleansing plan” for Gaza—this impunity must end immediately.
For decades, Israel has subjected Palestinians to systemic oppression, including ethnic cleansing, apartheid, and illegal occupation. Since October 7th, the situation has escalated into what numerous reputable organizations, scholars, and the United Nations have identified as genocide. Israel’s actions—including violations of international law and ceasefire agreements, mass detentions without charge, the killing of journalists and aid workers, and the use of starvation as a weapon of war—demand urgent international accountability.
I am asking all of Congress to:
Publicly condemn Netanyahu and his ethnic cleansing plans for Gaza. Demand Israel adhere to its ceasefire obligations and rebuild Gaza for the Palestinian people.
Hold Israel accountable through sanctions, an arms embargo, and halting the proposed $7 billion weapons package.
Demand the release of Palestinian prisoners, including healthcare workers such as Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya.
Reinstate UNRWA funding and advocate for the immediate end of the Gaza blockade.
Support an independent investigation into the events of October 7th.
Redirect U.S. military funding to domestic community needs rather than perpetuating endless wars.
Protect free speech for those advocating Palestinian human rights.
Stand for Palestinian self-determination and equal rights, including the right of return.
The U.S. must not be complicit in genocide. I call on Congress to take immediate, decisive action to uphold human rights and international law. Thank you for your attention and consideration.
