An open letter to State Governors & Legislatures (Ga. only)

Reject Georgia bills restricting voter access and suppressing turnout

The proposed changes to Georgia's election laws are concerning and could create significant barriers to voting access. Withdrawing from the Electronic Registration Information Center would hinder efforts to maintain accurate voter rolls and enable voter suppression. Prohibiting counties from accepting absentee ballot drop-offs the weekend before elections limits a convenient option used by many voters. Preventing new State Election Board rules close to elections risks disenfranchising voters based on last-minute arbitrary changes. These measures seem designed to make voting more difficult rather than secure elections. As a citizen, I urge you to reject these bills and instead focus on legislation that expands voter participation and safeguards free and fair elections for all Georgians.
