Protect Virginians’ Social Security Data & Benefits

While this is a federal agency, the fallout lands right here in Virginia — seniors and disabled residents who depend on these benefits are left in the dark. As a state legislator, you have tools to help: Introduce or support a House resolution urging our congressional delegation and Senate committees to investigate the alleged cover-up. Convene or request a joint hearing with relevant state committees to gather testimony from impacted Virginians and whistleblowers. Tighten state privacy standards for contractors or agencies handling federal benefit data in Virginia. Fund state-level benefits navigators to help residents get their Social Security benefits when the federal system fails.
