An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Protect Social Security and Its Staff

30 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

I should not have to tell you that Social Security is NOT an entitlement. I earned that money and saved that money for my retirement as required by the United States Government — I had no option but to pay into the system. I fully expect to receive my benefits out of the system as it was designed. Elon Musk and Donald Trump, and anyone else in government needs to keep their hands off Social Security for any purpose other than paying recipients what is owed to them. I do NOT believe this service should be privatized. Likewise, Congress needs to ensure enough people are employed by the Social Security Administration to make sure payments are correct and delivered on time throughout my life. Any deviation from this process is a surefire way to ensure I’ll be voting for someone who honors my rights as a retiree. Period.
