An open letter to State Election Officials

Remove Flock Surveillance Cameras from Anne Arundel County Communities

Remove Flock Surveillance Cameras from Maryland Communities and Anne Arundel County Stop funding Flock's invasive surveillance camera network and remove it from our communities in Anne Arundel County. These license plate readers don't just catch criminals — they track every resident's movements, building a database of where we go, when, and how often. That's not public safety. That's a surveillance dragnet aimed at ordinary people who've done nothing wrong. Anne Arundel County residents deserve to move through their own neighborhoods without being logged by a private company's cameras. Flock retains data, shares it broadly, and operates with minimal oversight. Once this infrastructure is in place, it's nearly impossible to roll back. Vote to defund Flock and push for the removal of these cameras before that becomes our permanent reality.
