An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Restore FEMA Funding and Reinstate the BRIC Program

3 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

I am deeply concerned about the administration's decision to terminate the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) program and withhold FEMA funds from at least 19 states. This action jeopardizes critical infrastructure projects designed to mitigate disaster risks. The BRIC program has been essential in helping communities prepare for and respond to natural disasters. Its abrupt cancellation undermines public safety and disregards the needs of vulnerable populations. I urge you to: - Advocate for the immediate release of withheld FEMA funds. - Support the reinstatement of the BRIC program. - Ensure that disaster preparedness initiatives receive the necessary support. Our communities deserve proactive measures to safeguard against future disasters. Thank you for your attention to this pressing issue.
