I saw that you had a private phone call where you apologized to Zohran for your islamophobic and racist commentary on Brian Lehreron 6/26. While I respect that you reached out and apologized to him, I regret to inform you that this is insufficient. Your constituents do not feel safe with you representing them. There are over 700,000 Muslims in New York and you are failing each and every one of them by trying to sweep your vitriol under the rug.
You have received nearly a million dollars of AIPAC money, and the unraveling of the Democratic Party this year and after the NYC mayoral primary is finally revealing the true colors of American politics today, and it appears that the democrats are just republicans in politically correct costumes. You owe your constituents an apology for your divisive, toxic fear mongering of Muslim individuals. You do not get to police one persons speech while allowing everyone else to go unchecked with their language, including your own. Condemning the genocide of Palestinians, the tax exempt status of American tax dollars funding the ethnic cleansing of men, women, and children in the West Bank is not antisemitic, and if you think it is, then you do not serve the public- you serve AIPAC.
Your constituents will remember this.
