In a world where there is so very little left to celebrate, many of us are focusing on ourselves and what scraps of joy we can muster from within. Individual expression has always been a basic tenet of the pursuit of happiness, and the freedom to be ourselves is truly not that much to ask for. In a nation where the far right have made it so incredibly difficult to be loud and proud of who we are- especially those of us who do not conform to traditional social standards, it is important that our elected officials stand up for our rights. WE THE PEOPLE ask you to stand with the NY surgeon general in continuing gender affirming care at all costs.
