URGENT: End Revenge Politics, Focus on Economic Relief
25 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!
Americans elected this president to fix our problems, not settle his grudges. The Trump administration has targeted over 100 perceived enemies through government investigations, security clearance revocations, and firings (NPR, April 2025). That’s not governance. That’s obsession. Meanwhile, his approval rating sits at 37%, the lowest of his second term, with poor marks on immigration (38%) and the economy (37%) (Gallup, July 2025). People who voted for him wanted results. They’re watching him waste time on revenge instead.
57% of Americans, including 54% of Trump voters, expect healthcare costs to become less affordable under this administration (KFF, January 2025). 67% of Americans believe the gap between rich and poor is increasing, and 49% think today’s children will be worse off than their parents (Economist/YouGov, October 2025). These are the issues that keep families awake at night. Not whether Trump can prosecute Adam Schiff or strip Chris Christie of credibility. The economy ranks as the top concern for 31% of voters, followed by threats to democracy at 23% (Emerson, July 2025). Democracy suffers when a president uses federal agencies as weapons against critics rather than tools to serve citizens.
Trump weaponized the Justice Department to investigate his political opponents while claiming prior “weaponization” against him. By July 2025, judges increasingly doubted “the fundamental honesty and credibility of Justice Department lawyers” after repeated instances of misleading courts (New York Times, August 2025). When the Justice Department loses credibility, everyone loses. Crime doesn’t stop for partisan theater. Neither do international threats.
I’m asking you to demand accountability. Push back against the use of government resources for political revenge. Insist on legislation that redirects focus toward economic relief, healthcare affordability, and restoring institutional credibility. Your constituents, including those who voted for Trump, deserve a president who works for them instead of against his enemies list.
