An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Vote NO on a Tax Bill that Attacks Poverty Line Citizens

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

The tax bill that is coming up for a vote is so clearly an attack on poor people that it is a shameful mark on the wealthiest nation in the world. Defunding planned parenthood- which primarily provides free or low-cost reproductive care to both men and women, not just abortions- cutting Medicaid and also instituting minimum work requirements, and giving the president the power to remove tax-exempt status from non-profits he dislikes are all going to significantly worsen quality of life for the poorest citizens. Why are we working so hard to hurt people who already have next to nothing, instead of taxing the wealthiest Americans as we should? Billionaires should pay their equal share of taxes, and the least fortunate among us should have more social support from the government. Please do not hurt your poorest constituents. Fight for this country.
