Furthermore, the Office of Government Ethics must examine if this event constitutes an illegal solicitation of gifts from outside sources in exchange for access to the President. While the President has the right to engage with supporters, doing so through a scheme that financially benefits him and his family raises troubling conflict of interest concerns.
