The latest testimony from Democracy Now! features Dr. Ghassan Abu Sittah, a Palestinian-British surgeon, who along with other medical professionals, describes a year of unimaginable brutality. Their accounts make clear that Israel's campaign is not one of defense but of calculated terror aimed at civilians, especially children. Doctors have witnessed first-hand that Gaza's hospitals become overwhelmed with the victims of this assault, and the suffering they describe is graphic and gut-wrenching. Children, in particular, are being brought into hospitals with bullet wounds to their heads and chests. These are deliberate, targeted attacks on children.
