SAVE the Dept. of Education!

Trump wants to close the Department of Education. For the most part, the states fund their own education systems, and the Feds provide extra funds for low income schools and special needs students. Ironically, the red states will suffer the most, and they already have the lowest rated schools in the country. Red states, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Oklahoma, and Mississippi spend the lowest amount per pupil, so the loss of Fed funding will impact them the most. But Trump doesn’t want to educate the masses - he wants children to be ready to take entry level jobs, or to enter the military, at an early age. Or if they are girls, he wants them married, barefoot and pregnant. Plus, it’s more money that he can put in his own pocket.
