No More Oil Wars — Stop Military Action Against Venezuela
7 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!
I am writing to demand immediate action to halt and oppose any U.S. military escalation against Venezuela. The American people do not support another reckless “oil war,” and Congress must not allow executive overreach to drag this country into yet another unnecessary conflict.
Military action against Venezuela would be unlawful without explicit congressional authorization, destabilizing for the region, and dangerous for U.S. service members and civilians alike. It would also undermine diplomacy, violate international norms, and further erode America’s credibility abroad.
An erratic leader who repeatedly threatens or initiates military action without clear strategy, lawful authority, or public support is too dangerous to remain unchecked. Congress has both the power and the obligation to stop unauthorized military actions, reassert its constitutional role, and protect the country from impulsive decisions that risk lives and global stability.
I expect you to:
• Publicly oppose any military action against Venezuela without explicit congressional authorization.
• Use all legislative tools available to block funding for unauthorized hostilities.
• Reassert Congress’s war powers and demand accountability for any escalation.
No more oil wars. No more blank checks for reckless militarism. Do your job and stop this now
