Defund and Dismantle ICE — Start Over Anew

Defund and dismantle ICE. The current incarnation of this organization has become, under those appointed by the felon in the White House, a terrorist group that is ignoring the rule of law, the Constitution, and its own original charter. Those being hired are not adequately trained, and many are violent right-wing thugs who are acting out their fantasies on American streets and in American homes. ICE, as it currently exists, must be stopped. Of course the US needs some kind of immigration enforcement agency, but not this one. Extrajudicial murders, warrantless home invasions, child kidnappings, and the near-doubling of incarcerations in the last year are evidence that it is just not working. Let’s start over. Defund and dismantle ICE, fire everyone currently employed, and start a new agency that follows the Constitution and the rule of law. Make sure everyone employed by the new agency understands the simple phrase, “due process.” Drill the 1st and 4th Amendments to the Constitution daily. Refuse to hire anyone involved in the January 6 insurrection. Please make this happen ASAP.
